The recipient of the 2000 - 2001 Vernley Ward Memorial Bursary is Zelda Nickesha Luke of 21 Princess Street, Lodge. At the time of the award, she was a student at the University of Guyana, majoring in Biology. She was also under consideration for a scholarship from the Government of Guyana to study Medicine in Cuba.


In keeping with the criteria for the awarding of the bursary, our Association paid the first year's tuition in its entirety to UG on Zelda's behalf. Heartiest Congratulations to Zelda and her Family.
