I am very happy to send greetings to all QC Alumni, our friends and supporters during this festive season. I want to wish you and your families all the best for the holidays and health and happiness throughout the New Year.

The Christmas Season is usually a time of reflection. We look back over the year and are thankful for all our blessings, the good times we have had and the joy and fellowship we have enjoyed competing with each other. Summer 1998 was a lot of fun for all of us. Our joint venture with the other schools was extremely profitable and we enjoyed competing even if we lost on the field of sport.

Many of you have already booked to travel home for Christmas.

Those of us who are remaining here are looking forward to a mild and pleasant winter with no snow to shovel so we will be able to pretend that we, like you (our more fortunate brothers and sisters) are at home in Georgetown.

I hope that when the New Year breaks, we will all have a sense of renewed commitment to our Alma Mater so we can strive to be even more successful in our fund-raising efforts and all the projects that your executive is planning. The Year 2000 is at hand. QC must not be left behind. Our school is counting on us!

All the best for the season.
