The Annual QC/Saints Alumni soccer match was held at McLevin Park in Scarborough on July 29 at 7 p.m. Once again, Q.C. had to rely on numerous "invitees" owing to lack of Alumni soccer players. Paul (Mike) Delyon, Gerald (Boots) Alleyne, Joel Rodrigues, Roderic Allsopp and Yours Truly represented the old school along with the guests. Paul Camacho and Mike Gomes from Saints also played for us.

As usual, the match was played in a very tough and competitive spirit reminiscent of the Dias cup matches. The game was close until the last 10 minutes when saints scored two quick goals to make it Saints 7 - Q.C. 4.

To encourage Q.C. Alumni from outside of the Toronto area to play, we are considering playing the match on Caribana Sunday in future at either the original or the present venue.

Never assume that your BOSS knows everything

A young executive was leaving the office at 6 p.m. when he found the CEO standing in front of a shredder with a piece of paper in his hand.

"Listen," said the CEO, "this is a very sensitive and important document, and my secretary has left. Can you make this thing work?"

"Certainly," said the young executive. He turned the machine on, inserted the paper, and pressed the start button.
